My Search for Wholeness

For over 35 years, I sought spiritual direction and worked with many psychotherapists to resolve the sense that something was missing. Despite my background as a PhD sociologist and mechanical engineer, my intellectual prowess alone couldn’t help me navigate my internal world.
My breakthrough came when I discovered IFS and Attachment Theory. These models provided a scientific and intuitive framework—an “inner physics”—to understand my own system.
“I needed more than someone to listen. I needed a felt sense of peace.”
Discovering Inner Physics
By meeting my “protectors”—the analytical and hypervigilant parts that kept me safe for 60 years—I was finally able to hold space for my most vulnerable emotions.
Practicing Security
Through a daily practice with IFS and the IPF protocol, I moved from disorganized attachment to a place of greater emotional security. I learned that the more I could internalize a secure connection with myself, the more I could explore the outer world with newly earned authenticity and freedom. This personal transition is what brings me here today as a fellow traveler, both coach and student.
